Hi! Before all, welcome to my blog. I hope you like your time here 
My name is Ivan Jovanović, I’m software engineer. I come from Leskovac, Serbia and currently live with my family in Zürich, Switzerland. I’m married, have no kids, but workin’ on that 
My wife Milica is a professor of the Physical Education, she is a great person and my biggest support.
I have Electrical Engineer diploma in the field of Automation and Control Engineering from the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia. Somehow along the way of my studies I got lost on the web side of life. From then I’m doomed to use lot of weird named technologies like PHP, (X)HTML, CSS, XML/XSL, Python, Perl, Ruby … to solve the puzzles I face on the road. Although, I try really hard to give my $0.02 since over the time puzzle just seems bigger and technologies less powerful to provide the way of solving it. Therefore I enjoy exploring new technologies and new ways of utilizing them in everyday development process.
I joined great team of local.ch ag frontend developers in October 2009 and I work as Senior Software Engineer for local.ch since then. I enjoy working for local.ch from the first day I came. Scrum organized agile surrounding gives good pace and doesn’t let you be bored in any moment. Open minded colleagues and approach to software development in general gives me the opportunity to grow and improve myself everyday and to contribute back.
Before moving to Switzerland I worked from Belgrade, Serbia for Swiss based company youngculture ag. Biggest client at that time was Tilllate AG, worldwide platform for nightlife related content and social networking. We helped them move their legacy code to Zend Framework.
Beside technically related passions I like sports, reading, hanging with friends, traveling around, good food and good wine. Lot of choices but not so much time.
